Once called "Freedom", this town's patriotic enthusiasts renamed it LaGrange in 1829 after LaFayette's French farm. A main waterway, Sprout Creek borders a 200-acre live and learn farm practicing grass-based production and providing natural beauty, livestock and educational skills. Sprout Creek Farm makes its own artisanal cheeses in an age-old European tradition enhancing the qualities of the rich, creamy milk from grass-fed cows. A "Not-to-miss" for tasting and purchasing ice creams and fine cheeses. Nearby James Baird State Park presents seven miles of scenic wooded trails for hiking, cross country skiing and snowshoeing. Winter fun awaits you at B.J.'s Christmas Tree Farm for a cut-your-own tree experience. COMPRISED OF: Hamlet of Billings, LaGrangeville, Titusville, Arthursbur and Freedom Plains
