The acclaimed jazz duo Sonny Daye and Perley Rousseau will bring Brazilian Romance to Unison Arts Center on Saturday, June 20th. The duo, together with guest musician Otto Gardner on upright bass, will capture the essence of the sultry romance and mesmerizing rhythm of Bossa Nova.

Sonny Daye and Perley Rousseau achieve a rare musical symbiosis. The husband and wife team have spent the last several years developing and perfecting their unique blend of jazz, bossa nova, American songbook standards and international cabaret, which has become their musical turf. They have brought their musical skill to audiences throughout New York, New England and Europe, where they have captivated audiences with their spontaneity, warmth, musical honesty and broad repertoire.

Otto Gardner has played bass in and around the Capital District for over 30 years. In addition to playing with scores of fine local and regional musicians, he is a founding member of Schenectady's Empire Jazz Orchestra.

Tickets are $22 in advance ($18 for Unison members) and $24 at the door ($20 for members). Students are half price with a valid ID.
