Pleasant Valley has one of the largest multiple use areas in the County. The 909-acre oasis of Taconic-Hereford State Forest offers miles of trails for great climbs and better descents for mountain bikers or four-wheelers. For visual stimulation, the widely chronicled magnificence of Innisfree Garden's asymmetrically balanced Asian design is not to miss! Nestled in low wooded hills surrounding Tyrrel Lake, the garden features flora and fauna, terraces, rock walls, streams, waterfalls and sculptures of natural stone and land formations. Historically-geared visitors welcome the centuries' old charm of farmhouses and farm buildings still sheltering bucolic landscapes as cattle graze on pastures, as well as many structural antiquities within the village. COMPRISED OF: Hamlets of Pleasant Valley, Salt Point and Washington Hollow.
