Although several of the studio tours are offered in the spring, each website is a year-round artist’s guide where you can make private appointments.
Every summer, more than 500 artists in the mid-Hudson River Valley readily welcome guests into their private worlds by opening their studios to the public. Various artist studios and collaboratives are open on specific weekends throughout the summer and into October. These free, self-guided tours showcase the working studios and diversity of the artwork created within.
Each studio tour is unique in its offerings and experiences. Visitors will get an insider’s behind-the-scenes glimpse into an artist’s creative life, and will be able to ask questions and learn about their process. Many of the artists participating in these events exhibit in galleries and museums throughout the region and the country. The Hudson Valley is where they live, work, and get their inspiration. While in the area, take time to experience the rich history and the broad cultural diversity of our communities.
Although several of the studio tours are offered in the spring, each website is a year-round artist’s guide where you can make private appointments. Please visit the tour websites to learn more about the individual artists, the indispensable sponsors, and to download a map to pre-plan your tour.
