Marc B. Fried is known for his five books of Shawangunk history and nature writing. Fried is also a newspaper columnist. His new book, Notes From The Other Side collects the best of his monthly columns, published over a 9-year period in the Shawangunk Journal; it is filled with exotic adventure, social commentary, and engaging humor.
