Waitresses. The immortal Medusa. The Hungarian uprising of 1956. No subject is too large or too small for these award-winning poets. Barbara Ungar, Director of the MFA Program at the College of Saint Rose in Albany, recently released Immortal Medusa. Rebecca Schumejda, who teaches at an alternative high school in Hudson, has published, Waiting at the Dead End Diner. A native of Schenectady now living in Colorado, Michele Battiste addresses Hungarian history in Uprising. All three show daring and heart. Introduced by Will Nixon.
