Woodstock Library Forum: The Legal Rights of Companion Animals with Anthony Eminowicz, Esq., LL.M

Saturday, Aug 22 2015;
5:00 PM To 6:00 PM

Woodstock Library, 5 Library Lane, Woodstock, NY 12498, 845.679.2213

No one likes to see a pet consigned to a place not of the owner’s choice, and no one wants the court to decide a pet’s fate. A protection that is offered in New York State is the statutory pet trust. Pet owners who leave a directive in their estate planning can be assured that funds and pet remain together. In this exclusive Library Forum presentation, attorney Anthony Eminowicz will discuss the unique topic of planning for pets (which includes the pet trust) in the event you are unable to do so yourself.

Anthony Eminoicz, Esq. is one of a handful of attorneys in New York State who maintains a significant focus on pet trusts. He is a local attorney with an office in Kingston that he shares with his cats, Oscar and Felix. Companion animals (on leashes) welcome.
