We’re happy to confirm that the 2015 Second Annual Vanderbilt Garden Tea
will be held on Sunday, September 13th, complete with delectable
refreshments, selected Harney & Sons teas, a special Guest Speaker, and
live music featuring talented harpists. We hope you will join us for this
fundraising event to support the formal gardens:

Tickets are $40 for FWVGA members and $45 for non-members, and advance
purchase is required. Tickets are available via phone (1-800-838-3006) or
online at Brownpaper Tickets.com, through September 3rd (unless the event sells out prior to that date).
Our Guest Speaker is Margie Coffin Brown, Senior Project manager at the
National Park Service Olmsted Center for Landscape Preservation, who will
speak on “Preserving Nationally Significant Gardens.” She has authored
numerous cultural landscape reports for nationally-significant properties
in the Northeast, including reports for the Vanderbilt estate and garden.
She holds a Masters degree in Landscape Architecture from Harvard
University and a Bachelors degree in Plant Science from Cornell University.
The Tea will be held rain or shine under our garden tent and limited
transportation will be available from the Visitors Parking Area to the
Gardens beginning at 1:00 p.m. and for the return trip after the Tea.
