The Empowerment Project is the incredible journey of a crew of female filmmakers driving across America to encourage, empower, and inspire the next generation of strong women to go after their career ambitions. Driving over 7,000 miles from Los Angeles to New York over the course of 30 days, the documentary spotlights 9 positive and powerful women leaders across a variety of lifestyles and industries including Girls on the Run International Founder Molly Barker.
The film challenges the audience to ask themselves, “What would you do if you weren’t afraid to fail?”
“Girls on the Run Hudson Valley is ecstatic to be able to be a part of the showing of this wonderful documentary,” said Kim Quimby, Council Director for Girls on the Run Hudson Valley. “It will have a positive influence on so many of girls and their families. We are focused on this documentary inspiring change and igniting conversations regarding gender equality, empowerment, and facing fears. We couldn’t ask for a better venue and thank the Sugar Loaf Performing Arts Center for having us. It should be a memorable night.”
