This spectacular re-enactment of the October 1777 British retaliation of Kingston—the new capital of New York State during the American Revolutionary War—is not something history buffs and residents will want to miss. There are three days of activities starting with the Friday evening opening reception held at the Hudson River Maritime Museum, 50 Rondout Landing, Kingston, from 4-7pm. Witness a 7pm re-enactment of Colonial Kingston “Committee of Safety” meeting at the historic Person House Museum at the four corners of the Stockade District.
