Museum Village will be having its annual traditional 19th Century Thanksgiving Tasting on Saturday and Sunday, November 7 & 8. This year taste some delicious Civil War Era trimmings as you watch them being prepared over the open hearth flame. Smell the feast as the aromas waft through the Visitor’s Center and then sample the dishes presented. Drift back in time and enjoy the savory flavors of a time long ago.
Make it a full day as you also have an opportunity to wander over the green and visit the many buildings and exhibits of this 19th Century Village. There will be crafts and games for the families to enjoy. Hear the blacksmith’s hammer clank and the school bell ring. Make a candle in the Candle Shop and churn butter in the Log Cabin. Stop and see the Printer and visit the General Store to see what you may need to buy. And don’t miss our 3rd Annual “Sparing of the Turkey” Ceremony at 2:00PM. This is an event that the entire family will enjoy!
The Snack Bar, which is now peanut free, and the Gift Shop will also be open. Adults $12.00; Seniors (65+) $10.00; Children 4-12 $8.00; Children under 4 Free
