
Virtual program: to celebrate the start of baseball season, the Wappingers Historical Society takes a closer look at hometown hero Dan Brouthers, one of the first great sluggers who was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame in 1945. Brouthers play in the mid-late 1800s and his 40+ nicknames included "Terror of all Pitchers"! Program consists of photos and video by biography author Roy Kerr, plus special video from a longtime WHS member who tells of growing up in Brooklyn during the heyday of the Brooklyn Dodgers.
