In response to the need for social distancing required by the Covid-19 pandemic, Newburgh Chamber Music and other Hudson Valley presenters have agreed to join with Howland Chamber Music Circle to use digital technology to reach their respective audiences.
Under the new, inclusive rubric, ALIVEmusica, live performances by soloists and small chamber groups, both world-famous and up-and-coming, will be streamed from the unique acoustics of the stage of the Howland Cultural Center, a former 19th century library in Beacon. The concert can be streamed by visiting newburghchambermusic.org.
ALIVEmusica’s inaugural concert will feature the young pianist Wynona Wang, winner of the 2018 Concert Artists Guild International Competition, at 8:00 p.m. on September 13
There is a suggested donation of $20.00 per viewer which can be made to any of the co-presenters. However, all concerts are free to stream, and viewers are free to pay what they can.
Further information about concerts, dates, and times can be found at newburghchambermusic.org and howlandmusic.org/ALIVEmusic.
