Joe Salamone, founder of this new micro-roasting company in New Paltz, will share his passion for coffee and his company’s philosophy of working only with seasonal green beans from single-origin sources, and small batch roasting these beans to perfection. Joe is particularly passionate about brewing methods that preserve the integrity of the aroma and flavor components of each type and style of coffee he roasts. For this event, he will demonstrate several manual brewing methods for exceptional coffee at home, including the proper use of a French press, the stylish Chemex, and other pour-over systems. You will also learn about cold brewing, have the opportunity to taste Main Course’s own hot and iced coffees created from cold brewing Phillies Bridge Coffees. Tastes and take-home samples of Phillies Bridge Coffee will be provided, as well as an assortment of fresh baked treats from Main Course Marketplace.
