Saturday, October 31 at 5:45 p.m. come participate in The New Paltz Monster Sprint which starts at the New Paltz Fire House, 25 Plattekill Avenue, New Paltz. This one-mile running race kicks-off the New Paltz Halloween parade, which begins at 6 p.m. This course will take runners down Plattekill Avenue to Main Street where they will make a right turn to run uphill to the New Paltz Middle School intersection, they will then turn around, run back downhill to the finish line just past P&G’s Restaurant on Main Street. One-of-a-kind prizes will be awarded to the top three overall male and female finishers. All proceeds of the race will benefit Family of New Paltz, a non-profit organization.
The entry fee is $10 per person and is open to ages 14 and older. Costumes are welcome. Registration forms can be downloaded at newpaltzchamber.org, click on News and Events then Events for October 31. Registration forms and payment can be dropped off at the New Paltz Regional Chamber of Commerce office, 257 Main Street, New Paltz or on the day of the race between 4:30 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Race-day registration will also be available from 4:30 p.m.-5:30 p.m. at the Peace Park, Plattekill Avenue (Hasbrouck Avenue), New Paltz, NY.
