In their first collaboration with Hudson Valley Economic Development Corporation (HVEDC) and SUNY New Paltz School of Science and Engineering, Hudson Valley Tech Meetup will host a special open house event at the Hudson Valley Advanced Manufacturing Center, June 10 at 5:30pm.
The event will open with comments from Kale Kaposhilin, principal at Evolving Media Network in Kingston and co-founder of the Meetup, and Laurence Gottlieb, president of the HVEDC, on the role of the technology industry in the economic development ecosystem of the Hudson Valley. They will be followed by fun and informative presentations from Jordan Koschei, director of user experience at Fusion Media, and Pamela Pavliscak, design researcher, data scientist, and founder of the Change Sciences Group. The evening will conclude with refreshments and exclusive tours of the Hudson Valley Advanced Manufacturing Center, home to SUNY New Paltz’s 3-D printing lab. There will be opportunities throughout the event for relaxed networking with other attendants.
Hudson Valley Tech Meetup, formed in 2014 by partners from local tech companies Evolving Media Network and Mark & Phil, hosts monthly gatherings of creatives, engineers, entrepreneurs, educators, students, and other technology lovers. The group’s mission is to unite and strengthen the technology and creative industries in the Hudson Valley by fostering connection, collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and excitement.
The event is free and open to anyone interested in technology, including students.
