For the fifth year in a row, some of the Hudson Valley’s top chefs and farmers will celebrate and raise funds for the North East Community Center at the Chef & Farmer Brunch, sponsored by No. 9 Restaurant and Black Sheep Hill Farm. This year, the brunch will take place on the shady lawn at Number 9 on Main Street in Millerton.

The Brunch is Sunday, August 9, from 11am – 1pm, and has become a much-anticipated gathering showcasing the region’s best farm-to-table restaurants and their Chefs, paired with local produce donated by Hudson Valley farmers. This collaboration results in a one-of-a-kind seasonal menu offerings unlike any other. Over 150 people attended last year’s sold-out event, raising over $10,000 for NECC’s community service programs.

This year’s list of participating restaurants and farms include will include returning favorites including chefs from No. 9, Pine Plains Platter, Harney Tea Shop, Stissing House and McEnroe’s Organics, with many new additions. Wine and spirits will be contributed by Millbrook Winery, Hill Rock Distillery, Dutch’s Spirits, with tea from Harney & Sons and coffee from Irving Farm. Ingredients for the tastings will come from a wide range of local farms including Black Sheep Hill, Herondale Farm, Jacuterie, Sol Flower Farm, and Moon in the Pond, among others.

Hammertown Barn and Sharon Hospital have committed to be sponsors of the Brunch along with Mario Batali, Salisbury Bank, Associated Lightning Rod, Herringtons and Silo Ridge. Supporters of all kind are invited to contact NECC if they want to be part of the celebration and ensure NECC continues to provide much needed support and enrichment to our community.
