Fiat Lux: Let There Be Light is a concert of reflection, hope and love. It features composer Joel Thompson’s “Seven Last Words of the Unarmed”, a sorrowful, contemplative, fifteen-minute, musical setting of the words of seven black men killed by authority figures. Other works on the program speak to the power of music to overcome darkness and allow the light of hope, healing and love to shine.
Presented in partnership with the Riverview Missionary Baptist Church. Performances on Saturday, March 29 @ 7pm at Riverview Missionary Baptist Church, Kingston and on Sunday, March 30 @ 4pm at Overlook United Methodist Church, Woodstock.
