Ben Woodward, Artistic Director of London's Fulham Opera, did the most extraordinary thing in 2014, and, on a shoestring budget in his tiny 120-seat church in West London, put on the entire of Wagner's Operatic Epic, Der Ring des Nibelungen, or the "Ring" Cycle.
In this lecture, with musical examples, he gives us a brief outline of the Ring's genesis and storyline, and reflects on the challenges of putting it on in Fulham in 2014.
Following Woodward's free community lecture, join him and the rest of the New Baroque Soloists for a free afternoon of chamber music at All Souls Church. Sunday, July 26 at 11:30am.
