Join us for the fourth annual plein air festival which includes artists working on-site, “meet the artists” reception, exhibition, award ceremony and a live auction, as well as an artist tent sale on Sunday from 10-2pm. Visitors may walk the property, including over five miles of historic carriage drives, and converse with artists as they capture the numerous spectacular vistas at Olana. This year the artists will be chosen by distinguished jurors including M. Stephen Doherty, artist, writer & editor of PleinAir magazine, Hudson realist painter Ken Young, and artist and gallerist Joan Damiani. Saturday, July 11th from 4-6pm there is an afternoon cocktail reception and exhibition at 4pm, and live auction of wet canvases at 5pm; Tickets for the reception include refreshments, exhibition-viewing and an auction paddle. Bob Bahr, editor of the e-newsletter PleinAir Today, will be present at the auction to judge works and select awards.
