We're excited to invite you to take part in our newest event at Ashokan: Catskill Conversations. Far from a typical "lecture series," these events feature fun, interactive talks from and activities led by experts. Each conversation also includes time for a Q&A session plus a wine and cheese social.
Our first in the series is an afternoon with the creators of Foraging & Feasting, the acclaimed book on wild edibles. We'll begin with a wild edibles walk with herbalist and forager Dina Falconi, then you'll return indoors where we'll learn to draw the plants we’ve gathered with botanical artist Wendy Hollender. Part three of the afternoon will take place in our kitchen-classroom, where wild plants will be transformed into food, medicine, and various other preparations!
There’ll be plenty of time for Q&A and to chat with Dina, Wendy, and the other attendees. All art materials are provided and no prior experience is needed.
